Social studies
Comics can be used in social studies to portray important historical events .Have students draw a one page comic strip demonstrating how something in history happened,like the Getysburg Address.
Science
Have students write a comic strip demonstrating lab rules and safety. Students should do 2-3 safety rules.
L.A.& Reading
Comics are widley used in these 2 subjects .
simple:Have students come up with their own characters and write a comic strip.
suited for grades 5-up:
Have
students seperate into groups of 4 to write a comic book . Assign one
student to be writer , one editor ,one artist, and one
planner. First the writer should write the story ,the editor
should look over the story and change anything that needs to be.The
planner should plan the layout of the issue and tell the artist what
to draw and where .Have students do 4 issues and alternate jobs so
that everyone has a chance to do what they want.
