About Trout

In the first few years of their lives,  trout feed on immature forms of insects. But as they grow bigger, their feeding habits change. They start eating foods such as earthworms, leeches, and even small crustaceans. Occasionally they eat small fish and crayfish.

Trout have always been known as powerful fighters with great stamina. Different trout hold different fights. For instance, rainbow trout throw a leaping, quick fight, while brook trout wage a bulldog fight!

  Trout Tip:

When fishing for trout always remember this one thing, the trout's viewing window. Many fly fishermen who have spent countless days on the water know that trout have acute senses. You never would have know that trout can only see certain areas, and not others.
