  The California sea gull

In Utah it is simply known as the sea gull.  The California sea gull is honored because when the huge herds of grasshoppers started eating the crops, the sea gulls swooped down and ate the grasshoppers.

  Blue Spruce

The blue spruce is not truly blue, but some of these do have a blue green tint.  The blue spruce grows high in Utah's mountains.  It grows both in small groves and as scattered, individual trees.
