Oregon's
state bird is the Western Meadowlark. The bird's scientific name
is Saturnalia Neglecta. It is 9 inches (23 centimeters) tall.
It lives in fields and on Oregon's farms. It nests in the grass so
it can find bugs to eat in the vegetation and soil.
