Johnny Bench was born on December 7, 1947, in Oklahoma City. He was a great baseball player. He won all-star honors in high school. In his first full year he was the Rookie of the Year. Johnny Bench got two MVP awards, 389 home runs, and 10 Gold Gloves. He played for the Cincinnati Reds.
Garth Brooks was born in 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1999 he was the ACM’s artist of the decade. Also in 1999 he went to spring training for the San Diego Padres and announced his retirement.
