Places of Interest


          Indian City, U.S.A., is a half mile southeast of the Anadarko Mountains in the Tonkowa Hills. The village resembles varied homes of the Plain Indians as they looked in the 1800s.

         Price Tower is in Bartersville. It is a 19-story-tower. It has outstanding visual features like blue green copper louvers at the windows.

        Turner Falls is in the Arbuckle Mountainous Oklahoma's most scenic waterfall. The water from Honey Creek tumble  60 feet through a rock gorge into a clear deep pool.

         Lake Texoma State Park is 1,876.5 acres near Kingston. The state established the park in 1951, and built a luxury lodge in 1955.

       Sequoyah State Park is near Wagoner around the shores of the Fort Gibson Reservoir.  The state park has  steep valleys, wooded hills, and small plains. It was established in 1953.
 


Annual Events

   They have many exciting events in Oklahoma.  In April they have the Rattlesnake Roundup at Okeenee.  In July, they have the Indian Stomp Dance at Devil's Promenade near Miami.  In November they  have a Will Rogers Day at Claremore.
