National Parks


    Vicksburg National Military Park reminds us of the siege of Vicksburg, which lasted from May 18 to July 4, 1863, and marked a major turning point point in the Civil War. Museum exhibits show the history of the region from Indian days to the present. The Military Park is on 1,649.66 acres.
 

    Hugh White Park on Grenada Lake, offers fishing, boating, swimming, and cabins. It was established in 1956.
