The
syringa has clusters of four-petaled, white flowers. Each flower blossom
is from 1-2 inches across and produces a sweet fragrance.

The
male mountain bluebird is a blue beauty during the spring and summer. It
is more completely feathered in blue than its cousin, the eastern bluebird.

Even
in Idaho, a state of towering trees and dark, dense forests, the western
white pine stands out. Idaho's state tree has a tall trunk and and a and
a pyramid shaped crown.
Idaho's state song is "Here We Have Idaho". Here are the lyrics:
And
here we have Idaho Winning her
way
to fame
Silver
and gold in the sunlight blaze, and
romance
in her name.
Singing,
we're singing of you, ah, proudly too,
all
our lives thru,
We'll
go singing, singing of you, singing of Idaho.
You've
heard of the wonders our
land
does posses,
It's
beautiful valleys and hills, The majestic
forests
where nature abounds,
We
love every nook and rill.
There's
truly one state in this great land of ours
Where
ideals can be realized
The
pioneers made it so for you and me
A
legacy we'll always prize.'
This
song was written by McKinley Helm & Albert J. Tompkins
It
was composed by Sallie Hume-Douglas
This
popular tune became Idaho's state song in 1931.
