State Symbols
State Flag:  Alabama's State Flag is a white flag with a big red X in the middle.  It is similar to the design of the battle flag of the Confederate States of America.
 
 





State Flower: Alabama's State Flower is a Camellia. The Camellia is a dark green shrub that produces large flowers in early spring.
 
 




State Tree: Alabama's Tree is the Southern Pine. The Southern Pine is also known as the longleaf.  It has needles and pine cones.
 
 





State Bird : Alabama's State bird is the Yellowhammer. It is a woodpecker with a gray head and wings with yellow undersides.
