| Jupiter is the biggest planet in the solar system. Jupiter is so large that all the other planets and moons in the solar system could fit inside it. It's mass is about 2.5 times the mass of all the other planets in the solar system. The weight is 318 times that of the Earth's. | |||||||

Jupiter has two rings around it. The planet turns on it's axis, but the rings stay in one place. The average temperature on Jupiter is negative 243 F. The planet takes 12 years to make one rotation around the sun and 10 hours to rotate on it's axis. Jupiter is 460 million miles from the sun. It has 16 moons some of which are: Metis, Adrastea, Amathea, Thete, Leda, Himalie, Lysithea, Elara, Ananke, Carme, Pasiphea, Sinope, adn S11999J1.
