The Bald Eagle

In this website I have written about the Bald Eagle. The Bald Eagle is a United States symbol. I also wrote about it's natural habitat, and some facts people may not know. I hope you find what I wrote interesting and fun to read.

The Bald Eagle was chosen in 1782 as a national symbol. It was chose for long life, strength and its majestic looks. Originally,  Benjamin Franklin wanted the Turkey to be the national symbol. Everyone voted against his idea and chose the eagle as the national symbol instead.

The Eagle stands for freedom. The Bald Eagle, protected against being hunted, is pictured on coins, flags and other American items. The Bald Eagle stands for everything that is American.
