A volcano is an opening where gas and rocks come onto the earth’s surface. There are many different volcanoes and many interesting facts to read about. Read on to learn more about volcanoes.
Volcanoes are caused by plates colliding. There are different type of volcanoes such as Shield Volcanoes and Dome Volcanoes. The rocks on volcanoes are called igneous rock. One type of lava is called basalt it always black or gray. Smoke and gas from a volcano is called tumarole if you smell it you can get sick or die.
