TSUNAMI
Tsunami means ‘harbor wave’ in Japanese. The pronunciation for tsunami is "soo- nah- mee" A Tsunami is a a wave or series of waves caused by earthquakes, landslides, volcanic eruptions, or even explosions. Tsunamis can speed across water at 600 miles per hour or more! They can be up to 100 feet tall or more. They last for at least10 seconds. When tsunamis attack coastlines they cause severe property damage and loss of life.
