How the Army Trains

The Army has many ways to train, and there are many training centers around the world. One way is to use realistic scenarios.

Through them the Army units discover their strengths and weaknesses. Another way is through the use of Hi Tech equipment.

Each center has a different training session. Some train for desert combat, others for European battles.

The army has 8 training centers in the U.S. They stop at reception center to receive their dog tags, haircuts, uniforms, and dog tags. Then they meet their drill sergeant. His job is to turn them into 1st class. In gun control they devote most of their time to the M-16 rifle the main gun. They also have awards in marksmanship for expert and Sharpshooter. After Basic training recruits go to AIT. It lasts 8-10 weeks. Some recruits skip AIT and go straight to their new jobs.
