The Army is the land element of military, as is the air force to the air. The army fight is on the ground. Their job is to take control of the land. They must be able to perform this job quickly and effectively. The army is ready for anything. for germ and nuclear bombs, or poisonous gases. Troops are permanently stationed in Europe and Asia. This makes our foes. Most troops are stationed in U.S.A. They can easily be shipped to other countries like Afghanistan. The enemies might easily outnumber the Army but they will most likely win.
