Air Force Commands

E-1 Airman Basic is the lowest rank in the Airforce.

E-2 Airman known as the (Amn) is the second.

E-3 Airman First Class (A1C) is the third.

E-4 Senior Airman (SrA) is the fourth.

E-5 Staff Sergeant (SSgt) is the fifth.

E-6 Technical Sergeant (TSgt) is the sixth.

E-7 Master Sergeant (MSgt) and First Sergeant are the seventh.

E-8 Senior Master Sergeant (SMSgt) and First Sergeant are the eighth.

E-9 Chief Master Sergeant (CMSgt), First Sergeant, and Command Chief Master Sergeant (CCM) are all ninth.

E-10 Chief Master Sergeant of the Airforce (CMSAF) is the tenth.
