So who should have this destructive nuclear capability? In other words, who should be able to wipeout an entire city with one bomb. The United States used this capability twice. They dropped 2 atomic bombs on Japan which led to their surrender at the end of World War II.
Some nations look at it as a sign of their technological advances. Others see it as a bargaining point to get what they want. When the Soviet Union broke apart into independent regions, the question was who has the nuclear capabilities in Eastern Europe? Could it fall into the "wrong" hands? Could a terrorist get a hold of nuclear weapons? Or, do they already have them?
The events of September 11, 2001 with in the United States have lead this TQ team to believe that there seems to be many "wrong" hands. It also worries us since Pakistan is next to Afghanistan and are in what seems to be a power struggle within their own country. Add to that the struggle against India and it seems like a recipe for world war.
And don't even get us started on Israel and Palestine.
