Imhotep was the chief advisor of King Zoser and chief minister of the Third Dynasty of Pharoah Djoser. Imotep was a doctor, architect, and a scholar. He was to figure out what the name of the god was who ruled the Nile River since he was known for his wisdom. Imotep needed to figure out the god's name so he would make it flood because food was scarce and crops were dried up. He said the god's name was Khnum. Later it flooded and starvation ended.Imotep made a plan to build the first step tomb for King Zoser when he died. The tomb was a mile long, 133 feet high, and had numerous doors of which only one opened. He had also designed a step tomb for Pharoah Djoser (2630-2611 B.C.). From then on Imotep was worshipped as a god in the later age/period. |
