Hebden Bridge Sculpture Trail

The Hebden Bridge Sculpture Trail is held in West Yorkshire, England. It has run since 1994. The trail normally is on display for 5 weeks starting June 26 to the August 1 on four hundred acres of Hard Castle Crags, beautiful land owned by the Natural Trust. The bridge was a crossing point for packhorses overloaded with cloth and other cargo.

Artists, local schools, and community groups all exhibit their work in this natural environment and have few limitations in its display. The artists are very careful not to do any damage to the trees or the environment. They also have to fill all the holes at the closing of the trail for the year. The Trail must be put back to the state in which it was found.

"The aim of the trail is to provide a forum in which artist can test notions of what contemporary landscape might mean for them and the production of their work." This is great way for local artist to display their work to the public.
