What is your job at the zoo?
I am an animal
keeper. I make sure the animals are okay. I feed them, clean the exhibits,
etc.
Why did you choose to work
at a zoo?
It’s something
I have always wanted to do.
When did you start thinking
about working at a zoo?
I started
thinking about becoming an animal keeper when I was about 10 or 12 years
old.
What college do you go to?
Drexel University
How long have you been working
at the Brandywine Zoo?
since May
2001
How did you get your job?
I learned
about this job from a friend.
Is it hard working at the zoo?
Yes. It’s
hard work, but it’s fun, too.
Do you have to study a lot
about the animals?
Yes, I do.
I believe it’s better to know as much about the animals as possible.
What’s the neatest thing that
has happened on your job so far?
It's been
neat gaining the trust of the foxes
What are your favorite animals
at the zoo?
My favorite
animals at the zoo are the foxes and the ferret.
