There is a lot of
prejudice in the world. Sometimes it seems like I
(all alone by myself) can't make much of a
difference. But I am learning that one person can
make a big difference. We can talk to people and let them know how we feel about prejudice. Talking is good. In school or with your parents having a place you feel safe to talk about sensitive issues. We should try to treat all people kindly, it shouldn't matter if they are a different background or a different race or friends of different religions. It's good to have lots of friends from lots of different backgrounds and cultures. Read books that talk about different races, religions and ethnic backgrounds. Visit museums that tell about different races, cultures and religions. Celebrate cultural events and attend church services with friends of different religions. Invite others to share my culture and religious activities. Prejudice is something that we have always had but something that we must try hard to get rid of. Everybody can make a difference in fighting prejudice by just having the courage to stand up against anything wrong being done. Stop the Hate.org: http://www.stopthehate.org/
