Robin Hood

Two men in particular hated and feared the one called Robin Hood.  They were the Sheriff of Nottingham and Sir Guy of Gisborne.  Robin was first made an outlaw by being accused of shooting one of the king's deer, which he did not do.  Then an outlaw kidnapped him and he introduced him to the Outlaws of Sherwood Forest.  Many followed him and honored his rallying call, "rob the rich to feed the poor!"
Soon Robin Hood had one hundred men.  They called themselves the Merry Men.  He saved people from being hanged and dying from starvation.  He had many friends including Little John, Friar Tuck, Will Scarlet, and his wife, Maid Marian.  When the King (who was off fighting somewhere)  came back, the Sheriff  was withdrawn from office.  Robin had killed Sir Guy before to save his right hand man's (Little John) life.  Finally just before he died, he shot an arrow out of a window and told Little John to bury him where the arrow fell and then he died.
