In the story "Time For Andrew" Drew and Andrew strike a deal that they will trade places back to their own times when Drew can beat Andrew in a game of marbles. Marbles originally came from the Romans. The Romans called marbles "Nuts" A Roman poet, Publius Ovidius Naso (43B.C.–18A.D.) wrote of the game. The word marble comes from the French word "bille" meaning little ball. Nobody called them marbles until 1694 in England. Marbles are made from clay, stone, wood, glass, steel, or any other suitable substance. This is how to make glass marbles. First the glass is melted and poured out. Next the colors are put in , Then they are shaped into cylinders and are passed over rollers to round them off. In some games you draw a circle in the dirt or anywhere else and set the marbles randomly in the circle.
