A Wrinkle in Time
Madeline L'Enge

When Meg's father stopped writing letters from his military position, Meg and her family get a bit worried. Charles Wallace (Meg's brother), a very gifted 5 year old meets 3 ladies named Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which, who say they want to help find and rescue their father. Join Meg, Charles Wallace, Calvin and the Mrs. W's while they go on an adventure they, and you will never forget!!!

It was a very good book. Also, it was exiting. I would recommend it to everyone who enjoys science fiction. I especially liked the characters in the story. This book would keep many people on the edge of their seat. Even if you don't like science fiction, you might be able to relate to Meg, Calvin, or Charles Wallace.

The Dead Man in Indian Creek
Mary Downing Hahn

When Matt and his friend Parker go camping one weekend, something happened that most of us will never experience. They found a dead man in the creek. Nobody took them seriously when Parker told them he knew who the killer was. Find out what happens in this suspenseful adventure.

I thought that this book was very good. It was exiting when they were hiding out at the warehouse. Also, it was exiting when they were hiding out to keep away from the "goons". It was an extremely suspenseful mystery. This book could have easily been a true story, because a thing like that could really happen. The author is good at writing books. She uses good adjectives. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends.

The Devil's Arithmetic
By Jane Yolen

Hannah opened the front door to the prophet Elijah at her family Seder and found herself in the 1940's, the time of the Holocaust. Her name is now Chaya ( Hiah ) and she and her family are put into a concentration camp. Hannah will never forget her experience in the camp as Chaya.

I really enjoyed how informative the book was about the Holocaust. This book allows you to see the camp in your mind. I liked the characters. They were all loyal to each other no matter what happened, all except the three fingered bloklava. I also liked how there were Yiddish phrases, then the English translation.

Something Upstairs
Avi

Kenny just moved into a house that was built in the 1700's. In the attic, he found a blood stain on the floor. The blood was from a 16 year old slave boy who was said to have killed himself. Did Caleb, the slave really commit suicide, or was he murdered? Find out by reading this book for yourself.

I really liked how Caleb and Kenny formed a friendship. I also really enjoy mysteries. Avi is a good writer, because you can see pictures in your mind when you read his books. I would recommend for mystery lovers to read this, and a few other books by Avi.

The Trolley To Yesterday
By: John Bellairs

A young boy named Johnny Dixon and his best friend Byron Ferguson, who he calls Fergie, were spying on the professor, another good friend of Johnny's. They were spying on him because they thought he was going psyco. They thought this because it seemed he was talking to himself. He was actually talking to a statue named Horus but the professor called him Brewster. The professor finds a time trolley behind the walls in his basement. The trolley takes them back to the Battle of Constantinople. The three adventurers get caught by a Turkish soldier! To see what happens next read the book!!

I think this book was a good book. I'd give it a 7 out of 10. I would suggest you read it because you can learn teamwork from it. You could also learn more about how a war begins. The book is full of suspense and I always found myself wondering what would happen next. In conclusion I would like to say this is a very good book!

All of a sudden Jeffrey's arm muscles start to fail, he is rushed to the doctors. To see what happens next read the book.

I loved this book. I could relate with Dodie so much. I have a friend that is handicapped like Dodie's friend. My friend is deaf. I'd like to say this book has the morals of life. In conclusion I'd say this book has a lot of lessons to learn and you should read it.

By: Mary Downing Hahn

Gordy's grandmother is dead! Gordy has nowhere to go. For the first couple of nights he stays at William's house. Then he gets a phone call from Stuart, his older brother. When Gordy goes back home he doesn't know whether he should act like his bad old self or his new good self. To find out whether he went to his bad or good self read the book.

I like this book because it was a story about when WWII ended and a story about a boy who is very worried. Plus it's a sequel to Following my Own Footsteps and Stepping on the Cracks and those are both good books.

I thought this book was very interesting. It caught my attention because it took place during WWII. It also caught my attention because it taught a very good lesson, you can be mean and totally change sides when you meet a new person.
