Post-Renaissance-Transmission of Cultural Characteristics

Learn about how traditions, religious beliefs, and languages can be transmitted to other societies.

Traditions
Different characteristics have gone to one society to another in many ways. One thing is different traditions. For example, the Christmas tree. It originated in Germany, but immigrants brought it to the U.S.

Beliefs
Religious beliefs can get transmitted from one place to another, too. One example is Christianity. Many missionaries go to different countries telling people about it. People in other religions also have missionaries who spread thier religion.

Language
Language is another thing that has been transmitted by societies. The English language is a great example of this. A long time ago Great Britain had many different colonies, and still do have some. When the explorers got to the colonies they helped to spread the English language.
