Delano Roosevelt
There are many significant historical leaders wo have
influenced events in Eastern and Western civilizations. One
of those people was Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Roosevelt was
one of the presidents of the United States of America during
the depression in the 1930s. He put in place many different
programs to boost the economy. He devoted a lot of his time
to the planning of the United Nations hoping to bring peace
between the Soviet Union and the United States.
Mao
Tse-Tung
Another person who influenced the coarse of events was Mao
Tse-Tung. He was the first leader of Communist China. He might
have been the most powerful man to ever live, controlling
China for over 25 years.
Winston
Churchill
Winston Churchill was a person who greatly helped to allies
win in World War II. He was the Prime Minister of Great Britain.
During World War II he refused Hitler's offer of peace when
Great Britain stood alone and organized an air defense.
Martin
Luther King Jr.
Yet another person who greatly influenced civilization was
Martin Luther King Jr. He helped everyone to treat all people
equally. He is famous for his speech, "I Have a Dream."
He was assassinated in 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee.

There are many people who have done significant things that
have changed civilization since the Renaissance. Franklin
Delano Roosevelt, Mao Tse-Tung, Winston Churchill, and Martin
Luther King Jr. are just a few of them. They have all done
something to change the world.
