Florida-Environmental Factors

Learn about...

Florida's Environment
Florida's environment has been modified in many ways by people who have in habited it. First there were the American Indians. They took what they needed and only what they needed and did not really harm or change the land. When the Spanish came they built a few towns and forts but didn't really do anything to the actual environment. Except for cutting down plants where they built. Then the British came and also built some villages. Ownership went back and forth between the Spanish and British for awhile were the people who really started changing the environment. Over time big cities were built and some swamplands were destroyed. Animals lost there homes and were killed until environment laws were put in and conditions started to get better.
