Renaissance
From the beginning of time, to the Renaissance, there have been two major time periods are the ancient world and the medievel world.

The Ancient World
The ancient world was a time from the begginning of evolution all the wasy to 500 to 600 A.D. An important person from that time was Alexander the Great(died 323 B.C). He lead a Greak army againest the Persians and in 13 years conquere an empire that streched from Greece to India. Another significant person was Archimedes ( died 212 B.C) who was Greek inventor. he discovered water displacement, and many other famous important inventions.

Significant Leaders
Julius Caesar(died 44 B.C.) was a very important and significant Roman ruler who conquedred France and invaded Britian. Another important person was Ptolemy(died 2nd century). He believed that the Earth is the center of the unvirse and thought itsamller than it really is. This influenced Columbus'svoyage to America in 1492. A very important person in respects of culture was a Constanitine(died337 A.D.).He was a Roman emperor who made Christianty a legal religon.

Medieval World
The Medieval World was a time from 500 A.D. to 1450. Saint Benedict (died 547 A.D) was important. He was Italian monk who gained many followersand started a monastery for them at Monte Cassino in Italy. Muhammad (died 637 A.D.) was also very important because he was the leader of all emporer of the West. Genghis Kham (died 1227 A.D) was Mongol conqueror. He united the Mongols and conquered a huge empire. Marco Polo (died 1324) A.D.) was an Italian traveler in Asia.
