Human
Interaction with the Environment
Wherever humans have lived or traveled, they have changed
their environments and natural surroundings. People have blasted
through mountains to build roads, cut down forests, built
houses, and used grasslands to graze heards. Some human actions
have damaged the natural environment, and some have not.
Environment

The environment also influences the way people live. People
adapt their lives to some environmental conditions. To live
in a cold climate, for example, people must invent ways to
protect themselves and make a living in the cold. To live
in a place that is dry, people have to develop ways to provide
water.
Examples
People adapt to their surroundings more often than you would
think. For example, if you are in your house doing something
and the air conditioning clicks on, you might put on a pair
of socks. Or if you went swimming, you would put on a bathing
suit to adapt to the current surroundings of water.
Green
House Affect
The green house affect is a big thing caused by human and
enviromental interactions. Unnaturally high levels of different
gases released into the air cause it. The main gases are carbon
dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide, but there are many others.
Carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere when fossil
fuels, solid waste, and wook and its products are burned.
Methane is released during the production and transportation
of coal, natural gas, oil, the corrosion of natural waste
in public solid waste landfills, and the raising of livestock.
Nitrous oxide is emitted into the atmosphere during agricultural
and manufactuting actions. Some very powerful gases are hydrofluorocarbons,
perfluorocarbons, and sulfur hexafluoride, all which are produced
in an assortment of manufacturing processes. The greenhouse
affect isn't all because of humans, however. It is a naturaly
occuring process, but human interaction is just pushing along
faster. The earth, through time, has gone through periods
of intense heatt and cold where humans had not the machines
and equipment we have+ now to do anything to help the climate
along.
Deforestation
of the Rain Forest
Another current condition is the deforestation of the rain
forest. Trees naturally fall down from lightning, fire, and
other environmental disasters, but over time they usually
grow back. But now in addition to these environmental disasters
humans are interfering. They are cutting down trees for more
land to farm and build on. After the farmers have been on
one plot of land for a couple of years the land is not as
fertile so they go and destroy more trees and that land they
farm. This repeats over and over again.
Florida
Water Resources
Fresh
water resources in Florida are getting very low. This is mainly
because of humans using too much. Averagely, Floridians use
much more water than the average American. This could be for
a number of reasons, but most likely because of the climate.
Still, other states have hot climates, too. Florida is also
running low on water because of natural reasons. These include
having saltwater drain into the aquifers and ruining. Water
could be evaporating, too.
