Technical Design and Constraints

Learn about...

Laws
When making a technological design, you should take in account the rules and laws of nature and economic, political, social, ethical, and aesthetic values.Well these different laws are not made to be mean to the people! They are just made to protect different things.

Nature Laws
When I say the laws of nature I mean that it can not harm nature or pollute it. Nature is our friend and whatever we invent it can not pollute the air or the water or anything. Let's just say you invent a new car and you make it puff up a lot of smoke. You have now polluted the air that we breath and that is against the laws of nature.

All of the other Laws
In economic, political, social, ethical, and aesthetic values you have to make sure that it can help you economicly. You also need to make sure that it will help the economy. Politically you need to make sure that the government. You have to make sure that it is not against any laws made by the government. You also need to make sure that it is not against social laws. You have to make sure that people like it. You also have to make sure that it is ethical. You also have to make sure it looks good or else nobody will want to buy it.

Related to Amusement parks
At amusement parks, when a new ride is constructed, they need to make sure that it looks good enough so that people will want to ride it. They also need to make sure that it is not going to pollute the air.

Sunshine State Standards 6-8

Science/The Nature of Science

Standard 3: The student understands that science, technology and society are interwoven and interdependent. (SC.H.3.3)

Objective 4: Learn that technological design should require taking into account constraints such as natural laws, the properties of the materials used, and economic, political, social, ethical and aesthetic values.

Amusement Park Activity

The Laws - When you go to an amusement park, you can take a look at if they took into account the law.
