Main Idea

Main idea isthe pupose of that passage.

Discovering
To find the main idea, just look at the sentence that the entire subject revoles on and that sentence should be the main idea.

Details
With every good passage, there is at least three deatails and a main idea. The three details support the main idea.

Learning
The student must be able to tell the difference between the detail and main idea. The details always support the main idea give examples and never the other way around.

Meaning
