Background Knowledge

Learn to use text structure to better understand reading.

Text Structure
Usage of text to dispaly content. You must know how to read different stuctures for content to find the purpose to pursuade, inform,and entertain.

Order and Sequence
Using order words such as first, next, last, second, another, then, and additionally. These words help to organize text and vary the sentence structure.

Cause and Effect
Consequently, therefore, as a result, and other words along these lines help to explain the cause and effect of the story when writing.

Comparison and Contrast
