Purpose
The
author's purpose could be to pursuade the reader, entertain
the reader, or to inform the reader.
To
Pursuade
When the author wants to pursuade the reader he/she wants
to convince that something is good or bad by their opinion.
Ex:The
sheman on T.V. said that those shoes where the best.
To
Entertain
When an author wants to entertain for the pupose of geting
an award. Sometimes they do it just for the puposes of fun.
Ex: See
the monkey run, see the monkey eat, see the monkey laugh.
To
Inform
When an author wants to inform, he/she wants to teach the
reader about an event, product or person.
Ex: This
is a great product because it is made of the strongest and
finest material in the world.
