Diversity

Embrace the opportunity to learn about and from people different from you.

Outside Your Own Realm
The literature you read reflects an amazing array of experiences from all sorts of people from many places, many times and many perspectives. Wow! What we can experience through literature!

Imagine seeing the shores of America for the first time. You can through literature.

Imagine the horror hearing the on-coming gunfire of a slave-hunter in a small village in Africa. You can through literature.

The wonder of literature is that you can see the eyes through the eyes of others. You can experience what you would never been able to experience. You see the other side, and get a glimpse of the other point of view. WOW!

Did You Know?

Media Day for Walt Disney
World was perhaps one of
the worst openings of a park
in modern times. The moment
the gates opened almost everything
that could have gone wrong, went
wrong. The asphalt for much of the
park had been put down at 6:30
in the morning so people got their
shoes stuck in asphalt when they ran in.
