Listening for Personal Preferences

Listening for Personal Preferences depends on what your personal preferences are. Find the style of writing you like the best and then read books according to your personal preferences.

Fiction
Fiction is writing that is not real, but is created from the author's beliefs and imagination. This style is used in all age level books: child, young adult, and adult.

Drama
Drama is a style that is used mainly in adult and young adult books. It is used in books about people's lives (people who are fictional, not biographies) to describe the soap opera-like lives.

Non fiction
Non fiction is a style of book that is a real event or person. DO NOT GET NON FICTION CONFUSED WITH HISTORICAL FICTION!!! Historical fiction is a story of a real person or event, but has this person or event in situations that have not actually happened. Some types of non fiction include documentary, biography, autobiography, encyclopedias, etc.

Informational Presentations
Informational presentations are presentations that teach you something. These presentations can be live or recorded, etc., but as long as they teach you a lesson, they are informational presentations.
