Convey Nonprint Message

A 'nonprint message' is a message that you send to an audience without using any printed words.

Silent Periods
When you are giving a speech or presentation and you have a loss for words, instead of saying "um" or "Uh", pause in silence. Another way to use a silent period is to emphasize a point or subject.

Facial Expressions

You can use facial expressions to get your point across to the audience. For example, if your subject is happy, put on a smile! If the subject is angry, frown. A facial expression can tell the audience just what emotion you are conveying.

Movement
Movement is another important key in conveying nonprint messages. One way to use movements is to have ample hand motions included in your presentations. You should use movements to emphasize points and/or subjects.

Gestures
Gestures are basically the same thing as hand motions, but they are more coordinated with the presentation.
