WELCOME TO THE AMUSEMENT PARK CLASSROOM
From rollercoasters to shopping to hotdogs and soda, EVERYONE loves amusement parks. This love is the foundation behind The Amusement Park Classroom project. This website is designed to bring the middle school curriculum alive for students by linking learning standards in math, science, language arts and social studies with the fun of amusement parks. MATH MOUNTAIN
Hike up Math Mountain and check out the view! In this section, students are introduced to math skills in number sense, measurement, geometry and spatial sense and data analysis and probability.

SOCIAL STUDIES SAFARI
Grab some your camera and join us on the Social Studies Safari. In this section, students are introduced to middle school history, geography, civics, government and economics.

SCIENCE STATION
All aboard the next shuttle to the Science Station. In this section students are introduced to the nature of matter, force and motion, processes that shape the Earth, Earth and space, how living things interact with their environment and the nature of science.

LANGUAGE ARTS LAGOON
Don't forget your sunscreen as you hit the beaches of the Language Arts Lagoon. In this section students are introduced to skills in reading, writing, listening, viewing, speaking, language and literature.

It's name is Bakken and it
opened in 1583 as a
pleasure garden, the first amusement parks.
