Bette Nesmith Graham

Liquid paper was the brainchild of a quick-thinking woman with poor typing skills. It was originally called mistake out, and was the invention of Bette Nesmith Graham. At age 17, Graham got a secretarial job. Bette was an artist and used to handling paints and inks. Graham never intended to be an inventor, she wanted to be an artist. Bette Nesmith Graham died in 1980.
