In November 1999, Randi Altschul invented the world’s first disposable cell phone. Altschul said she got the idea when she got a call and then lost the connection. Altschul was so frustrated she almost threw her phone out her window.
The phone-card-phone has the thickness of three credit cards. The phone is 2” by 3” in length. Altschul product hit the market in 1999. With the phone you get 60 minutes of talking time. It also comes with a hands-free attachment. Altschul now lives in Cliffside, New Jersey.
