Uranus:

The god of the Heavens

Uranus, a gas giant is the third largest planet in our Solar System. It is the seventh planet from the sun. It has 17 moons and 11 rings. It has a diameter of 50,724 km or 31,520 miles. The mass of Uranus is 14.5 times that of Earth. Its axial tilt is 97.9 degrees. Its revolution is about 84 Earth years and its rotation is about 17 Earth hours. The average temperature at the cloud tops is -214 degrees Celsius (-353 degrees Fahrenheit). The major gases in the atmosphere are hydrogen, helium, and methane. An outstanding feature of Uranus is the fact that it and its rings are flipped on its side. This makes it warmer at the poles than at its equator.
