Life on Pluto is not too bad. Most people think it would be. “The Dome” is what we created to make inhabitancy possible. This dome was filled with large amounts of oxygen when it was first built. The scientist also made a climate control switch because of the very low temperatures. Those are the things that help us survive on Pluto.
I'm sure you know that Pluto is the smallest planet. We have a very small population of only one thousand people. We also have a space pod that takes visitors back and forth to Earth and Pluto. Lately criminals have been coming here trying to escape from Earth. We catch most of them and send them back to the FBI. A few months ago we discovered that our space pod was missing. We thought it was running behind so we paid no attention to it. After several hours, we saw no sign of it, so we notified Ground Control on Earth. They said it was not there either, so they would send a few police shuttles. Ground Control said there was no sign of it anywhere. Earth sent a stand by shuttle until our original was recovered. We used the standby shuttle to search for the other one. A few days later one of the people helping look for it, said he saw something odd shaped on Mars. We immediately notified Ground Control. They sent shuttles to investigate. They called hours later and said it was our pod. Inside the pod there was a big mobster. He was quickly arrested and taken to prison. We have had quite a few pod-jacking attempts. That was the first time a criminal has actually succeeded. |
