Mars is the planet I am on now, and it is a little chilly. From my veiw I can see the two moons, Phobos and Deimos. They’re very beautiful. I also see the mountains, canyons, and volcanoes. The rotation on Mars is twenty-four earth hours and thirty-seven minutes. One revolution takes 687 earth days. I can see the polar ice caps in the far distance.

In order for my people to live here, I have to make a machine to give off oxygen and keep it in the atmosphere. This machine is very small, yet very effective. It has many tubes so the oxygen will go out in many directions. Even though this sounds crazy, it will work. I know what I am talking about.

Right now life here is very pleasant, even though I sleep and eat on a space shuttle. In the next few days we will start building the school and other buildings. Every week, children will go to school just like on earth. The buildings will consist of hi-tech jobs, where many of my people can work. Every week everybody will get a free day where they can do anything. As you see, life on Mars is very similar to life on Earth.

There are many things people can do for fun. Every night they can go to see their favorite movies. Also, they can go to the park. There you can throw frisbies or just take a walk. For recreation, you can play any kind of sport.

In order for supplies to get here I need to make something. There are two ways to get here. One way is to take a space shuttle, which will take about thirty minutes. Another way would be to take something like an elevator that will take you up in five seconds. I think that this colony will be great!
