Venus. The Morning and Evening Star. Beautiful goddess of the skies. But despite what you may think, Venus is a lethal beauty. Its atmosphere makes it the hottest planet in the Solar System. The atmosphere of this planet is composed of carbon dioxide. Venus is often referred to as Earth's twin. Venus has no moons or rings. Its' average surface temperature is about 500 degrees Celsius, which is 900 degrees Fahrenheit. Venus seems to go through phases similar to our moon. It has a retrograde rotation that lasts 243 earth days. Its' revolution is 225 earth days. It has a diameter of 12,100 km, which is equal to 7,520 miles.
