The Big Mess

David was watching TV. His mom told him that she was going on a cruise to San Juan Ria for a week. He and his brother Maurice were to keep the house clean while she was gone. If they didn't they knew they would be on restriction for a week. That would include no video games, no TV, no phone calls, no playing outside.

The next day their mom left home. Before she left she said, "Boys, don't forget what I said about keeping the house clean."

After Mom left Maurice said, "Want to have a pillow fight?" David said,"Yeah! Lets use water guns too!!!!" Maurice replied. Maurice got to his water gun first and filled his tank.

Just as David got to his pillow, he had just enough time to block the shot which soaked his pillow and made it heavier. Then they ran downstairs. Maurice turned around quick and shot his water gun which almost hit his mom's vase. David ran to the kitchen and got some eggs. He pulled out his GI Jo sling shot. He loaded an egg, fired, and hit Maurice smack dab in the face. Maurice ducked behind the couch, pulled out his Alien Gack Gun, fired, and soaked David with green gack.

After an hour they stopped. The house was an eyesore. There was egg yolk, gack, and all sorts of stuff all over the walls. "We'll have to clean up this mess before mom gets home," said Maurice. "We can do it later. Right now I want to go to the arcade and play Alien Killer 3 Attack of the Martians. After that I'm going to the mall to buy a new game and have pizza," said David.

So the boys went out and didn't get back until 1:00 A.M. When they got back they didn't even take a shower.

The next few days the house got messier and messier until the boys couldn't move around without stepping on something. Two days before it was time for mom to come back the boys started to clean up. David mopped while Maurice washed and ironed clothes. After that they cleaned the walls, vacuumed the rooms, and put things back where they belonged. It was hard, but they finished.

Sunday, Mom came home. When she got in she asked, "Did things go OK?" "Yeah," said the boys together. "Never better!"

Rocky Road Chunky Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

Regular and Dark Chocolate Cookie Dough

Chocolate Chips

Sprinkles

Icing (any kind)

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 360 degrees. Thoroughly wash your hands. Mix the chocolate doughs together. Take the mixed cookie dough and knead it until it gets packed tight. Break big pieces off and smush it down to cookie size (not too flat). Put in the oven for about 20 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately put the icing and sprinkles on each cookie.
