To find details you must read the sentence, paragraph, or story you want to find it in. Details are statements that support the main idea. Many times looking for adjectives and adverbs will help you find details so be sure to look for them in a sentence, story, or paragraph.
The Intergalactic War

Prologue
Bit Cloud, Lena Toros, and Brad Seth all sat inside watching it snow. Lena was a beautiful girl, who had been orphaned by the war at the age of three. She had blue eyes, pinkish hair, and she also had a scar from a bullet wound near her shoulder. You could never see it because of the shirt she wore. She knew a lot of information about the enemy. That made her VERY useful in their quest for revenge. Bit was a tall boy who had a natural talent with a gun. Maybe it was because he was a bounty hunter. He too had been orphaned by the war, but he was much younger than Lena when that happened; the age of 2 weeks. He vowed to destroy whoever killed his parents. Bit had black hair and brown eyes, and when he got fired up he would explode in a rage of anger blasting every enemy in sight. Brad was skilled in ship piloting, but he didn't like it. He preferred to use guns. You see, he too was a bounty hunter. His parents were still alive, but they were the very enemy they sought to destroy. His parents were the leaders of this war, and the cause of it. Brad had a calm, casual attitude.
Bit was out fighting some soldiers when he found Lena hiding in an abandoned building. He offered to help, and they teamed up. All of the sudden, a giant ship came flying down from the sky and crashed about 100 feet away from them. Bit instantly took out his gun and approached it. Brad was lying unconscious beneath the cockpit of his ship. Lena ran up to help. Bit lifted Brad up and they went inside his ship until he was well again. When he awoke, he was not scared, merely amazed. The last thing he remembered was getting knocked out of the cockpit onto the ground. Bit and Lena walked up to him and when Brad reached for his gun it was not there. "It's okay," Bit said, "Lena nursed you back to health. What is your name?" "Brad, nice to meet you," he replied. Lena started to speak, but decided to say something different. "Will you join with us? You look like you would make a strong ally," Lena said. Brad looked up suspiciously. "Ok...that's about the only choice I have. Alright, it wouldn't hurt anything to help you." That was four years ago, when they were 13. Now they're 17, and more dangerous than ever.

Part 1: The Anger And The Resolve
"Brad, get down!" Bit yelled as he tried to cover Brad while he desperately tried to sneak in behind enemy lines. They had thought this plan up without Lena's knowing, because if she knew, they wouldn't be able to do it. They didn't want to do this to Lena, but they had to have the data disk. Without it, there was no hope. Brad had argued the subject with Bit, but he eventually agreed. Now they were carrying it out, but with many mistakes. Bit was shooting everyone in sight, and whoever he hit fell dead almost instantly. He was loading his gun full of caster shells, some of which were the strongest bullets in the world. Brad had not yet made it past the first line of attack, but stopped to look for Bit and then noticed a path of footprints leading to where Bit was. He looked forward and shouted, "Bit! Behind you!" Bit turned to look only to find an enemy soldier's assault rifle in his face. "What the-!" (see note at bottom)

Back at the ship Lena was searching everywhere trying to find Brad and Bit. "Where could they be? It's not possible that they are still in bed...." Lena thought, "No way, they couldn't be. Not with all this going on....ahh, I'll scan the battlefield anyway. As she walked toward the scanner, the door swung open and Brad walked in helping Bit to walk. Lena got mad and shouted, "What happened to you guys?!? You had me worried sick! Where were you?!" Brad reluctantly explained. "We thought up a plan to get behind enemy lines; it worked, but we had a few problems as you can see...," After Brad finished speaking Lena's face grew red with anger. "Grr...what is it with boys?! They never listen....anyway, Bit, are you okay?" Bit answered, "Yeah, except for my leg. It didn't get shot, but that guy hit me hard when he fell over. It was Brad who saved me." Lena wasn't as mad as she was at first, but she was still somewhat angry at Brad and Bit.
7. Where was Lena while Brad and Bit were trying to get behind enemy lines?

How are we going to fight on an empty stomach?" Suddenly they heard a door slam, and Lena walked in with a cheerful face. "Hey guys," she said, "What you want to eat?" "Lena, are you...okay?" Bit asked, "You were ma-," Brad stopped him and shook his head. "Of course I'm okay! What's gotten into you silly?" After that she walked out of the room. Bit and Brad looked at each other, shook their heads, and exploded with laughter. Then they heard a splash. "Argh!!" Lena screamed, "WHO LEFT THE TOILET SEAT UP?!?"
10. Where were Brad and Bit when they were talking quietly?
