A Solitary Blue is an interesting novel about a young boy named Jeff who is suddenly abandoned by his mother who has gone in search of a better life for others. She leaves him with his father, whom he calls "Professor." Jeff learns what kind of person his mother really is and he grows to understand what the real treasures in life are.
