Smith Street
Smith Street is one of the oldest roads in Durban running 1,7km from the Marine Parade to the M4 at Warwick Road. Smith Street was named after Captain Thomas Charlton Smith.
West Street
West Street is not as old as Smith Street but is still very old, and is a main shopping through fare. West Street is named after Martin West the first Lieutenant-Governor of Natal.
