Durban's Transport has been in operation for 103 years.
They had the first electric trams installed in 1902 and 2 months later the first tram accident occurred. "The tram was traveling along 1st Avenue when a horse drawn cart got a fright and dashed in front of the tram the horse was killed instantly but the driver escaped with only a few bruises."
