Dear Visitors
Why, of all the subjects, of all the land masses, and of all the Hawaiian Islands, did we choose the Big Island?? Simple. Its our home, and we would like to share it with the world. Most tourists only know Hawaii for its sandy beaches, great waves, and volcanoes. Why stop there?
Our website will take you to the original statue of King Kamehameha, in Kohala, to the KECK observatories high on the slopes of Mauna Kea, and to the history of “The Law of the Broken Paddle ”. This website is intended as a “insiders guide to the Big Island” for tourists and locals alike. It will take the user back in time to the olden days, and get you up to speed on the Big Island. You will learn about many places that even some of our teammates have never visited. But most of all, it will share the wonderful secrets of Hawaii.
We also created this guide in hopes that we can “link- up” with other students we know are out there. Other students who have summarized their island, town, city, or county. We will link to these sites to create a sort of “virtual world”. We know you are out there! : ) We also hope our site will inspire others to create websites featuring their own special places.
We would like to thank anyone who has ever written a book on the Big Island, for they provided a oasis of information, and numerous pictures (which, by the way, we did ask permission to replicate) . Without this, the information in this website would be sketchy, and most of the pictures would probably be of Tito falling over cliffs, or on fire, with a river of lava following closely behind.
We hope you enjoyed our website, and that is was as fun to play, as it was for us to make it! If, for some reason, something does not work on you browser, please write us at titok16@hotmail.com, and we will PERSONALLY code a custom version, that will work on your browser.
Aloha,
Tito Jankowski
