1985 The PC
Era_ Pagemaker

Until 1985, most microcomputers users process information but could not present it in an attractive format. In 1984, Paul Brainard Founded Aldus Corporation, where he and a team of people familiar with publishing developed a new program called PageMaker. This program, and the almost simultaneous introduction of the Apple LaserWriter lasser prenter, changed the way information could be presented. With these tools, users could integrate text and graphics and print documents that looked as if they had been prepared by a professional printing company. This program launched the new field of desktop publishing.
